Silversmithing has a great heritage. In the Bible, Joseph was rich in silver, gold and oxen; and in pre-Christian civilizations, silver was more precious than gold.

In this country, we have an extraordinary silversmithing heritage, and through the centuries, this heritage has gone through many changes. Silversmiths not only work with silver, but with other metals as well to make jewelry and other items. We can continue this heritage by staying true to the craft and creating designs of simple grace and perfection.

"And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver" (Malachi 3:3).
